Europride House shows LGBT festival is more than just a party

5:08 min

Stockholm Pride kicked off on Friday with a concert in central Stockholm. But it's not just a party. On Monday, it was time for the inauguration of Europride House at Kulturhuset in Sergels Torg square, with a five-day programme of talks and debate on issues relevant to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people.

"We hope that even people living in Stockholm will see that international LGBT issues are issues for everyone," says Britta Davidsohn, President of Stockholm Pride.

She said that for LGBT people who have recently arrived in Sweden, Pride House would be a good place to make new friends and help get established in Sweden.
