Meat-eating declines for second year in a row

During the first nine months of the year the total amount of red meat and poultry consumed per person has shrunk by over a kilo. And when people do eat meat, they're choosing animals raised in Sweden more often.

Åsa Lannhard is agricultural policy analyst at the Board of Agriculture. She says meat eating has been declining for two years now. The reasons range from environmental awareness to healthy eating and people simply following trends.
