Mattias Nohrborg, managing director of TriArt film, says the dominance of two major movie theatre chaines are threatening film diversity and democracy.
Nohrborg says with Filmstaden (formerly SF bio) and Svenska bio controlling over two-thirds of cinemas in the country, non-mainstream films that involve a degree of financial risk, are marginalised, to the detriment of distributors and the public.
