Help was at hand from Johan Söderlund and Lena Höijer from the Swedish Life Saving Society. It is their aim to educate people about how to go out on frozen lakes, and what to do if they fall through the ice.
The students were told to jump into the icy water and claw themselves out using ice picks. Students said they felt nervous before jumping in, but sprinted into the warmth of a sauna afterwards.
