Eat more mussels and herring, says latest WWF fish guide

The WWF released on Tuesday its annual fish guide, a tool that helps shoppers navigate the fish counter and chose sustainably sourced seafood.

Dishes like smoked salmon and pickled herring are common in traditional Swedish cuisine but not all kinds of seafood Swedes enjoy today are environmentally friendly.

In 2019 edition of the guide, consumers can follow the traffic-light grading system that indicates green for the species that are fine to eat, red for those that are not and yellow for those that you can eat once in a while.
