Moderate Party MEP candidate: Make it easier to export nuclear power

7:25 min

Tomas Tobé is the Moderate Party's top candidate in the election to the European Parliament.

The Moderates are the second biggest party in Sweden and were in government for eight years, 2006-2014. MEPs for the Moderates sit in the centre-right EPP group which is likely to be the biggest in the EU parliament.

Tomas Tobé says that he is in favour of a proposed system to share asylum seekers more equally among countries based on their size, as well as supporting nuclear power across Europe.

One issue Tobé wants to focus on at the European level is tackling crime. Radio Sweden asked him what concrete steps he wants to take.

This is the ninth and final installment in our interview-series with the top candidates in the European Parliament elections.
