Nearly a third of teens bullied when playing online, survey says

Some 80 percent of young people in Sweden play games online and about a third of them have faced harassment while playing.

A new study, carried out by Novus for anti-bullying group Friends, reveals 30 percent of 13- to 19-year-olds are bullied while gaming. The bullying ranges from sexist and racist remarks to freezing out players who don't do well.

Many of the kids say bullying comes with the territory of online gaming.

Friends recommends parents and adults serve as role models for kids and teach them how to behave towards one another, offline as well as online.
