New service pairs eager hunters with pig-plagued farmers

2:10 min

Farmers are complaining of more damage than ever by wild boars, but alongside the animal's growth, there's a huge number of Swedish hunters who're eager to shoot the problematic porkers.

Jesper Einarsson is a hunting consultant and one of those who has set up a new matchmaking service for farmers to call on hunters when their wheat is flattened, or meadows are torn up.

The service is designed to be free for farmers and hunters, and to help them get matched with each other.

Einarsson spoke to Radio Sweden about the new initiative and the response from hunters and farmers.
