The annual political jamboree of Almedalen kicked off this week. It is when Swedish political parties have their own day in the media spotlight on the Baltic island of Gotland.

On Monday, the Moderate party outlined their proposal for doubling sentence for criminal gang members during their day.

On Sunday, the Green party presented their proposals for increasing the production, distribution and sale of renewable fuels as well as preserving tax breaks up until at least 2023.

Almedalen continues tomorrow when the Left party take centre stage. Almedalen itself will finish on Sunday.
