Net pedophiles hard to prosecute say police

2:28 min

Net pedophiles are hard to prosecute because chats and text messages are seen as weak evidence, Swedish Radio News reports.

This is according to Emil Eisersjö, director of the intelligence department for the Police Operations department. Despite a major European operation designed to catch net pedophiles last summer, Eisersjö says sex crimes against minors are hard to do anything about.

Most of the sexual crimes against children are committed through so-called "sugar dating" websites where children upload information about themselves.
