Harassed children more likely to become bullies, study finds

Children whose parents are condescending or who tease them are more likely to become bullies or the victims of bullying, according to a new study carried out by researchers in Sweden, Canada and the USA.

They say that the research gives an increased understanding into how the behaviour of parents can prevent teenagers from developing good relations with their peers, news agency TT reports. Many bullies have parents that are aggressive, punitive and dismissive, the study found.
