Mayor calls on skilled non-EU workers to choose Stockholm despite deportation fears

The mayor of Stockholm, Anna König Jelmyr, tells Radio Sweden she wants skilled workers from countries like China and India to come to her city, despite fears over people getting deported.

Radio Sweden and other media have reported on a series of cases where staff such as IT-consultants have been forced to leave Sweden and go back home because of minor mistakes made by their employer.

NGO Diversify has carried out a survey of 571 workers affected by deportations. Radio Sweden spoke to one such person.
