An estimated 1,500 Swedes are unsure of how and when they will be able to return home, after Ving, a Swedish subsidiary to the collapsed British tour operator Thomas Cook, cancelled all flights on Monday.

Anton Axfors and 20 of his family members were supposed to have travelled home from Cyprus on Monday, after a week's holiday on Cyprus, when they were celebrating his grandmother's 80th birthday.

Now they do not know how long it will be before they can go home.
