Consultant says smaller companies would be hit by work visa restrictions

The Liberal Party says it now supports demands that those who want to come here on a work permit from outside the EU must be able to prove they can support any family members they bring with them. One migration consultant says small companies will be worried.

Ferhat Anik is a migration consultant for a company that helps to organise work permits for non-EU citizens. He says that most employers pay more than the 13000 minimum wage and the majority of full-time employees will qualify for permits.

But does he think the possibility of greater restrictions will scare some companies into reducing the recruitment of immigrants?
