The retail liquor monopoly Systembolaget is proposing to sell a smaller and cheaper beer next year.

The state-owned company says customers do not want to buy 500ml of the current cheapest beer and want a 330ml option. Systembolaget say they are thinking about introducing two beers next year to fill this gap on their shelves. However, Radio Sweden spoke to Swedish temperance organisation IOGT who aren't enthusiastic about the news.

Hear Sara Norell, the monopoly's director of assortment, purchasing and supplychain, and Kalle Dramstad, head of European policy for IOGT.
