Fire in school barn now under control

Firefighters in Ljungsbro in central Sweden have now managed to get control over a blaze in a barn which is thought to have killed up to 120 cattle overnight.

The fire broke out at around 3.30am, and local residents were advised to stay indoors to keep out of the smoke.

Local channel P4 Östergötland spoke to incident commander Thomas Adolfsson who says the animals did not stand a chance. No humans were hurt in the blaze.
