Support for Tsunami Warning System

Sweden is contributing USD 2,500,000 for the Tsunami Warning System in the Indian Ocean.

Swedish Foreign Aid Minister Carin Jämtin signed an agreement in Bangkok Tuesday with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

Sweden becomes the second donor after Thailand, which started the fund.
