No Helicopter Rescue for Central Sweden

Swedish coast guard authorities have announced that normal rescue facilities for centeral Sweden has disappeared for the next 2 months.

The military defense helicopter used for this is out of service – and won’t be replaced by a private machine until February.

In emergency situations, a helicopter will have to be flown in from the Baltic island of Gotland or from Finland – greatly delaying any rescue operation.
