Research on Male Violence "Completely Misleading"
An academic committee has determined that controversial sociologist Eva Lundgren has not falsified her research. But it is highly critical of how she has reached her conclusions.
Lundgren claims that 40 percent of Swedish women have been victims of violence, 12 times the figure cited by the Swedish Crime Prevention Council.
While the Uppsala University committee says it finds no evidence of academic cheating, it faults Lundgren for drawing conclusions that are not supported by her data, describing some of her work as a “completely misleading”.
