Satisfaction with EU Budget

Swedish Prime Minister Göran Persson has expressed satisfaction with the European Union long-term budget negotiated early Saturday morning.

Under the agreement for the 2007-2013 period, Sweden is the second highest contributor per capita, after Germany.

But, Persson says, it still represents a 1 and a half billion dollar savings for this country compared to the budget that was proposed in June.
