More Christmas Cards

Despite the many season’s greetings sent over the Internet, the Swedish Post Office reports that the number of traditional Christmas cards sent through the mail increased this year.

The post office says 42,5000,000 cards were sent here this year, an increase of around 200,000 compared to 2004. To help with the extra load, some 8000 people, most of them students, have been temporarily employed.

Eighty percent of Swedes say they send traditional Christmas cards.
