Young Asylum Seekers Disappear

The newspaper “Metro” reports that one-third of the unaccompanied children who have sought asylum here this year have disappeared, a trend which has increased in recent years.

Altogether, the location of 416 children who came here by themselves and applied for asylum during the past five years is unknown. Half of the missing children came from China, and

“Metro” says there are indications they have been sold to brothels, restaurants or sweat shop factories in other European countries.
