Successful Anorexia Treatment Pioneered
Swedish Radio News reports that Uppsala University Hospital has developed a successful new model for treating anorexia.
The hospital’s eating disorders unit is one of the few in country offering voluntary outpatient care. Instead of 5 very ill patients forced to stay on the ward, it treats 50 who visit on a regular basis.
The personnel say that most patients have recovered their normal weight after a year’s treatment.
