Freivalds: Sharon’s Courage Still Needed

Earlier today, commenting on Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s massive brain haemorrhage, Sweden’s Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds spoke of low-spirits here.

Freivalds said Sharon has been a very important person, not least in regards to the current peace process, making the situation extremely regrettable.

She pointed to his courage in withdrawing from Gaza and said this type of courage is still needed in order to continue the process.
