Nordic Airline Blacklist

The Nordic countries have established a blacklist of airlines they consider to the dangerous.

The move by Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland comes while they are waiting for the European Union to produce its own list. The five countries will exchange information about airlines which have been the subject of restrictions for security reasons.

At the moment the list has only one name on it, Air Universal Limited of Sierra Leone. Belgium, Britain, France and Switzerland already have their own lists. The EU airline blacklist is expected in March or April.
