Friday Edition

It’s been a week of riots, fatalities and burning embassies.  Anger over the Prophet Mohammad drawings originally published in Denmark shows no sign of abating. Swedish peacekeeping troops come under attack and the Swedish embassy in Damascus is torched.

We’ll be focusing on Moslem fury over those satirical cartoons in our Friday edition.

Other stories shaping the news here in Sweden: The Central Bank Governor looks forward to a continued gradual increase in interest rates.

And from Alzheimer’s to hardening of the arteries – some interesting Swedish research was unveiled this week.  That and more in today’s half hour.

Guesting today’s program is economist, author and award winning journalist: Åke Ortmark.

Closing Music: Laleh, INVISIBLE (MY SONG)
