Arrests in McDonalds Bomb Case

Published måndag 13 februari 2006 kl 12.17

A bomb was found outside an apartment in Uppsala, north of Stockholm, Saturday morning.

Dynamite and a fuse were inside a plastic bag hanging on the outside doorknob. The police experts who disarmed the device say it was very powerful.

According to press reports, there are no known threats to the family who live in the apartment.

Meanwhile, two teenagers have been arrested for planting a firebomb last weekend in a McDonalds on the E4 highway outside Nyköping. The younger of the two, aged 17, was also charged in connection with the firebombing of a spinning mill on Christmas Eve.

The mill was used for neo-Nazi meetings, and an organization called Anti-Fascist Action has taken responsibility for the attack.
