Triumphant Hockey Teams Welcomed Home

Around 30,000 fans welcomed Sweden’s ice hockey teams home on Monday in a southern Stockholm square, to celebrate their triumphs at the Turin Olympics.

The men’s team beat Nordic rivals Finland 3-2 in a dramatic final for the gold medal on Sunday, while the women’s team earlier won a surprise silver after losing to Canada.

On stage facing a sea of the national colors yellow and blue, captain Mats Sundin and his teammates sang the national anthem with the crowd.
