Swedish Budget Surplus This Year

Sweden is expected to post a solid state budget surplus this year.

The National Debt Office reversed its forecasts Wednesday, and says Sweden will stay in the black in 2007. Highlighting higher corporate tax revenues and an expected stronger labor market, the debt office says government finances will have a surplus of 2 billion dollars this year.

In October the agency had forecast a 3 billion dollar deficit.
