NATO Relationship "Can Improve"

Sweden’s new Foreign Minister Jan Eliasson says there’s room for improvement in this country’s relationship with NATO.

Eliasson, who took over the Foreign Ministry on Monday, is still President of the United Nations General Assembly, and has served as Sweden’s ambassador in Washington.

He told parliament Tuesday that the government welcomes plans to deepen Sweden’s partnership with the Western military alliance.
