Götheborg Reaches Australia

The Swedish tallship ”Götheborg” has reached Australia on its two year voyage to China.

The replica of an 18th century East India merchant sailing ship left Sweden last October on a journey aimed at promoting Swedish business and culture. Previous stops have been in Spain, Brazil, and South Africa.

Strong winds have brought the ”Götheborg” to Freemantle, Australia earlier than scheduled, so it will be a week before it enters the harbor for the official welcoming ceremonies.
