Unemployment Approaches Target

Unemployment in Sweden fell to 4.6 percent in April from 4.8 percent the previous month.

According to figures from the Labor Market Board the combined rate of people unemployed and on government job schemes was 7.8 percent last month, down by a tenth of a point from March.

The government says it expects unemployment to fall to its target of 4.5 percent this year.
