Online shopping is on the increase

Concern Over High Property Prices

Sweden’s central bank warned Wednesday of potential problems in the commercial property market.

In its half-yearly financial stability report, the Riksbank says rapidly increasing household debt and real estate prices are unsustainable.

Meanwhile the Swedish Research Institute of Trade reports that during the first four months of the year online commerce here was up 29 percent compared to the same period last year. Internet sales now account for 2 percent of the total retail market here, but they continue to grow as consumers are more and more positive about shopping online.

Nearly eight out of ten here say they expect to buy something over the Internet during the next six months.
