A Swedish state-owned alcohol shop

Cost of alcohol to fall because profits are so big

The amount of money made at Sweden’s state alcohol shops was so high last year, they are going to start slashing prices.

The Systembolaget recorded around 70 million US dollars in profit, much more than the government was hoping for.

So from the August 1st prices will go down. But not by much - a bottle of wine that costs around 8 dollars 20 cents now will go down to about 8 dollars.
