Blood donor session in Stockholm

Worries over dwindling blood supplies

Fewer donors in the summer is being blamed for the crisis in the towns of Uppsala, north of Stockholm and in Enköping, which is west of the capital.

Meanwhile in Gothenburg, on the west coast, medical staff say the shortage there is exceptionally serious and extra donor sessions are being organised.
