Falcon Air Goes Bankrupt

The Swedish airline Falcon Air has declared bankruptcy, only a few months after coming under new ownership.
The Malmö-based carrier flew mail for the Swedish Post Office and had some passenger traffic. It was sold by the Post Office to private interests last winter.
The new owners have blamed the Post Office for the company’s troubles. However the pilots’ union was critical of the sale, saying the new owners had previously been involved in bankruptcies in the travel industry.
