Swedish Radio Head Peter Örn Resigns

The managing director of public broadcaster Swedish Radio, Peter Örn, on Monday announced his resignation with immediate effect.

In a joint statement with Swedish Radio’s board chairman Ove Joanson, Örn cited differences on key issues with Joanson, regarding the direction of the organisation.

Peter Örn had been head of Swedish Radio, of which Radio Sweden is part, for three and a half years.

The Swedish Radio board has appointed former director of programming, Kerstin Brunnberg, as Örn’s temporary replacement.
