At the beginning of his career Franz Welser-Möst was for five years music director of Norrköping Symphony Orchestra in Sweden. Since then he has worked with orchestras all over the world and for almost 13 years he is the general music director of The Cleveland Orchestra.

This orchestra has succeded in attracting a very young audience to classical music.

A third of the audience is often under 18 years of age.
