Originally from Iran, electrical engineer Alireza Nami was in Japan when he applied for a job with the Swedish-Swiss power and technology company. He first came to Sweden seven years ago this November, a quite miserable time of the year to arrive, but the job soon had him hooked.
"Moving to a different country is difficult, I had experienced that before, but I got very good support from the company when I moved here," he says.
There are more than 50 nationalities working at ABB in Västerås, and the official working language is English.
